about the project: Mood for Matcha is a specialty matcha and coffee shop based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, centered around ceremonial-grade matcha and thoughtfully crafted comfort food. Starting with only the prompt of creating a "cute matcha shop," I developed the entire brand from start to finish; including the name, visual identity, color palette, typography, packaging, menus, and art direction. The goal was to create a brand that feels warm, nostalgic, and quietly whimsical, balancing vintage charm with a fresh, contemporary perspective. Rather than following the minimal and, sometimes, sterile aesthetic common among modern cafés, I designed a cozy visual world that feels inviting, memorable, and full of personality.
